Hey everybody!!! It’s Halloween!! Technically, it’s the day after Halloween, but let’s just relve that glorius holiday, shall we? As you know, we had an activity, which was the dance. I didn’t go to the gym because it’s so hot in the gym already. Add the added body heat of about 50 people, and you got yourself a really huge oven. Anyway, I saw a lot of people at the gym, and they looked like they were having a lot of fun, so who am I to judge? I was at Mr. Shipman’s room helping out with the game room that he was having there, and let me tell you, it was hectic! Without Jonathan’s (sorry if I spelled your name wrong!) help, it would have been a real blood fest to see whose turn it was! (Thanks!!) There was a Gamecube, an XBOX 360 (courtesy of moi), and a PS2 (forgot who brought that, I think it was Jason…Gamecube brought by Shipman) Anyway, everyone had to pay to get in, :’[ , but everything inside the room was free, except for the game consoles. They were playing Halo 3, Mario kart, and Tekken. It was really fun, even though I didn’t play anything myself, I had fun watching everyone enjoy themselves. NJHS even had a travelling sales team, and the majority of the people in there bought drinks, even though it was really cool inside of the room. Outside, Mr. Blas was hosting a movie room. He was showing “Signs” (courtesy of moi), and the people in there had to pay, but like in the game room, everything inside was free, except for the movie. Just trying to get things clear for those “special” people out there….(*cough*Amber*cough*) Mrs. Borja was having detention, :[ , but then Mr. McDow was kind enough to watch over them instead, so Ms. B got to roam as far as room 15! Hooray! Anyway, a lot of the other teachers were having other things in their rooms. They were selling, for the first time, shaved ice at the dance! I knew someone other than me would think of that! Ooooooh. I’m PSYCHIC! Awesome.

Something freaky happened before the dance, and the day, were over. They broke the DJ’s speakers. How could you do that, seriously? Unless 1.The batteries were about to die. But speakers don’t have batteries, do they?   -or-    2. The people operating the turntable were very careless, and they broke it. Wouldn’t the turntable be operated by a DJ? I mean, do they actually allow students to touch it, even if they know, or seem to know, what they’re doing? After that, there was a lot of confusion. The students were told that the dance was over, and a few minutes later, they were told that the dance wasn’t over, and that they would have to go back to the gym. Kind of messed up if you ask me. But, all in all, it was a pretty fun day, and at the end, the teachers passed out glow sticks, for the following Halloween night. Mine was yellow. ;p Before going home, I asked three of my friends what they thought about the activity. Aleron said,” It was boring.” After telling them that we were playing Halo 3 in rm.16 and that it was everything but boring, he kind of got mad and said,” Why didn’t you tell me?!”  Brilyn said,” It was kind of fun, but I was FREAKING OUT because I didn’t have a CAMERA!” My bad. She did not tell me where she was going to be, so technically it isn’t my fault. Cianna said,” It was fun.” She went to Mr. Poblete’s class. He was showing a movie, too. Before there were some *ahem* “technical” difficulties, but after they fixed it, they ended up watching “Don’t Mess with the Zohan”.  Anyway, it was fun, and if you were there, good for you. If you weren’t, well you missed out on some serious fun. I did hear that we weren’t going to get any more dress down days because most people just came in regular clothes, and not in costumes. Oh well. =’(
